Choose the correct path
- Use the included Vacto subdomain if you do not need a custom domain yet.
- Search for a domain to get an availability hint. The hint is not a reservation, sale, or final registrar confirmation.
- Request Vacto acquisition when you want Vacto to review and help acquire the name under the current service workflow.
- Add an owned domain when you already control it at a registrar and can edit its DNS records.
Connect an owned domain

Open Settings, then Custom domains.
Check whether the page says the plan includes access or requires the Lite domain service.

Enter the bare domain you control.
Use a valid hostname such as example.com, without a path or checkout URL.

Submit the domain request.
Vacto creates a review/setup record; it does not activate the domain from text input alone.

Copy the exact DNS records shown by Vacto.
Add the required A record and www record at the registrar/DNS provider. Do not copy values from another store or an old guide.

Return and check status.
DNS changes can take time to appear. Use the current Check/review action instead of repeatedly removing and re-adding the domain.

Wait for Vacto activation.
A domain must pass review, DNS verification, platform configuration, and activation before it can become the public primary domain.
Domain states and management
The domain screen can show states such as needs payment, pending review, needs DNS, verifying, active, disabled, rejected, or failed, depending on the current workflow. Follow the action shown for that exact record.
Disabling a domain keeps the record but stops its active use. Re-enable only after the DNS and entitlement are still valid. Removing a domain is different from cancelling the domain at its registrar and does not automatically change registrar ownership or renewal.
